Short, practical guidance for using My Budget while keeping financial data under your control.

Do not email financial records, backup files, or backup passwords.

Add income

  1. Open Transactions or use Add Income on Home.
  2. Enter the amount, category, date, and optional note.
  3. Review the currency and save.

Add an expense

  1. Choose Add Expense.
  2. Enter the amount, category, and date.
  3. Add an optional note and save.

Create categories

  1. Open Settings, then category management.
  2. Choose income or expense.
  3. Select a name, icon, and color, then save.

Use reports

  1. Open the Reports tab.
  2. Choose a period or report type.
  3. Review charts, spending distribution, and income versus expenses.

Create an encrypted backup

  1. Open Settings and Encrypted backup.
  2. Choose a strong password and store it safely.
  3. Select where to save the .mbbackup file.

Restore a backup

  1. Choose Safe restore in Settings.
  2. Select the backup and enter its password.
  3. Review the preview and confirm restoration.

Export reports

  1. Open the report you need.
  2. Choose PDF, Excel, or PNG.
  3. Save or share through the app you choose.

Enable biometrics

  1. Enable Biometric lock in Settings.
  2. Complete verification in Android's official interface.
  3. Disable it from the same location.

Manage notifications

  1. Enable reminders in Settings.
  2. Allow notification permission when Android asks.
  3. Disable them in the app or Android settings.
