My Budget is offline-first. It requires no account, uses no cloud synchronization, and does not connect to bank accounts.
1. Developer and scope
Developer and publisher: Mohammed Qais Abdulghani. This policy applies to Android 1.0.0 of My Budget. The msqaisfx.com domain is used only for hosting and support.
2. Data you enter and store
You may enter personal finance data including income, expenses, categories, savings, financial goals, budgets, notes, financial-calendar entries, currencies, and settings. This data is stored in a local SQLite database inside the app's protected space on your device.
The app does not automatically transmit these financial records to developer-operated servers. This release has no mandatory account, Google or Apple sign-in, or cloud synchronization.
3. Backups and restore
You can create an encrypted backup on request. The backup is protected with a password you choose, and you decide where to save or share the file. The developer does not keep that password and cannot recover it if it is lost. Restore lets you select a backup file, enter its password, review its contents, and confirm restoration.
Backups saved outside the app remain under your control and may need to be deleted separately from the Files app or storage destination you selected.
4. Reports, export, and sharing
The app can generate reports and files such as PDF, Excel, and PNG, and supports transaction export and import. Files are shared only when you choose a save or share action. After you send a file to another app or service, that copy is governed by the privacy practices of the recipient or service you selected.
5. Biometric lock
You may enable the optional biometric lock. My Budget uses Android's official authentication interface for local verification. The app does not receive or store your fingerprint, face data, or biometric template.
6. Notifications and permissions
The app requests only these permissions as relevant to the features you use:
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS: to show optional local reminders after your approval.
- USE_BIOMETRIC: to use the device's optional biometric app lock.
- RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: to reschedule your local reminders after a device restart.
The current release does not request location, camera, microphone, or contacts permission and does not use Firebase Cloud Messaging.
7. Advertising, analytics, and tracking
My Budget contains no advertising SDK, external analytics SDK, or marketing tracker, and it does not track your location. The developer does not sell your local financial data or collect it on a server in this release.
8. Retention, deletion, and controls
Local data remains on your device until you delete records in the app, clear the app's storage in Android settings, or uninstall it. You can disable reminders and the biometric lock in app settings and manage backup and export files where you saved them. Uninstalling the app does not automatically delete files you exported or shared outside the app's protected space.
9. Children
My Budget is a general personal-finance tool and is not directed to children. Because this release creates no accounts and collects no financial records through an app cloud service, the developer does not knowingly collect children's personal information through such a service.
10. Security and limitations
The app relies on Android's protected application space and encrypts backups created by the user. No storage method is completely secure, so we recommend locking and updating your device and choosing a strong backup password. My Budget is a personal organization tool and provides no banking, investment, or financial-advisory services.
11. Policy changes
This policy may change if app functionality or data practices change. The last-updated date will appear at the top, and required disclosures must be published before a new feature changes how data is handled.
